We have been afforded the great privilege of hosting a visit by The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu to Bradford Academy on Thursday December 5th.
The Archbishop officially opened the Academy on 27th April 2008, when he met many staff and students, toured the academy and revealed the opening ceremony plaque which is displayed in the main entrance.
We are delighted that he has chosen to visit us again on his tour of the Diocese and we look forward to welcoming him to the Academy community once more.
On this visit he will be meeting with staff and students who are working on the Archbishop’s Young Leaders Award, meeting our Senior Student Leadership Team (SSLT), hearing the choir sing, touring our Primary phase, hearing the beaver promise from our beavers group and conducting a blessing service in our Sacred Space. Representatives, nominated by heads of House will represent all students at this service.
Students across the academy will be able to participate in the visit through our V-brick system. This will allow those students not directly involved in the visit to take part by viewing a live transmission of the visit.
We will of course upload pictures of the visit on our website for all parents to see once the visit has taken place.
