Bradford Academy is proud to announce that over £1,400 was raised for the national campaign, Children in Need, last week.
Primary learners were invited to come in non-uniform and make a donation to the cause as well as holding a cake stall for them to buy treats at break time.
The high school side of the academy extended the learners’ break time to allow them to enjoy a variety of fund raising activities including a cake stall, leg waxing for male teachers and a bottle flipping competition.
Ian Sheard, Head of Tutu house, commented: “Every year more and more money is raised nationally. So many of our learners wanted to get involved in the initiative this year and it was brilliant how many offered to help run stalls, bring in tombola prizes and advertise the event.”
