Technology Behind Media

On Monday 12th December, a select group of Year 7 learners were taken to the National Media Museum in Bradford as a reward for their hard work in ICT over the last term.

The trip began learning about the development of computers and the internet, followed by the photography exhibit where learners were able to see how photographs were taken in the 1840s. In the next exhibit, learners investigated how vision could be fooled with the use of mirrors. Finally learners visited the computer games arcade where we could try a variety of games from the last 30 years – favourites included Space Invaders, Golden Eye and Gauntlet – and also see how animations were put together for films such as Wallace and Gromit.
