‘Making Memories’ at Disneyland

On Saturday 27th May, 44 students and 15 staff embarked on the annual trip to Disneyland, Paris. This was the 6th anniversary offering students a once in a lifetime experience.

Day one of the trip entailed visiting Disney Studio and watching numerous parades and shows. A favourite was the car show which was a wheel-screeching Disney stunt show featuring some familiar Disney gas guzzlers. They also conquered the frightening Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and then went hunting for Disney characters to take ‘selfies’ with. Dinner was served at Rainforest Café before a behind the scenes tour of the area.

Day two was spent in the much-anticipated Disney Park. Groups enjoyed the Fairytale Flight across the five ‘lands’ before spending the day going around classic attractions, shows and street parades. The highlights of the day includes rubbing shoulders with swashbuckling pirates, zooming through time and space and look on in awe at the unforgettable firework and light displays.

Kabir Hameed, Lead Behaviour Director, commented: “This year the trip was funded by the ‘Gareth Dawkins Fund’ and we are sure Mr. Dawkins would be pleased with his students experiencing such a fantastic trip.

“We never tire of seeing the smiling faces of our learners as they delight in the attractions and get hugs from the Disney characters. Watching the students with their eagerness to get to Space Mountain and their smiles on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Perilmakes us all proud to be part of this fantastic experience and to bring the magic to our learners.”
