Wednesday 1st September - First Day Arrangements

The first day arrangements for Wednesday 1st September are as follows:

8.25am - Year 7 students start

8.45am - Reception class start

12.05pm - Years 8-11 start

1.30pm - Reception Parents Induction Meeting

2.30pm - Year 7 students leave school

2.45pm - Reception class leave school

3.00pm - Years 8-11 students leave school

Post 16 Induction Day Monday 6th September

 
All Post 16 learners are going to Bradford University for their Induction Day on Monday 6th September. Learners on level 3 courses need to be at Bradford Academy for 8.25am and the coaches will take them to the University. Learners on level 1 & 2 courses need to be at the Academy for 9am for their coaches. All learners will be back in school by 3pm....

Success is in the air at Bradford Academy

Record numbers of students have enrolled into our sixth-form today as a result of the best ever GCSE results the Academy has enjoyed.  Last week saw 31 out of 32 students who applied for a place at University secure a place.   We congratulate all our students, staff and families and wish them every success in the future.

Non uniform day – Friday 23rd July 2010


Please note that Friday, 23rd July 2010 will be a non uniform day.  We are asking for donations of 50p towards local charities for anyone who chooses to come in non uniform.

Lord Seb Coe meets Bradford Academy pupils

A massive ‘well done’ to all year 10 sports leaders, for their leadership in Bradford’s visit from Lord Sebastian Coe. On Tuesday 15th June, 10 year ten pupils assisted in running of the Quad Kids Athletics event at Lister Park.  Their roles including running events, managing and leading large numbers of kids and wearing the sports partnership mascot outfit ‘Lance the Leading Lion’.

‘Our Day Out’ is Best Night In!!

Bradford Academy’s Performing Arts department is quickly building a reputation for excellence when it comes to productions and last week’s Drama performance of Willy Russell’s popular play ‘Our Day Out’ was no exception.  Following on from the success of the musical ‘The Wiz,’ and the winter concert, ‘What the Dickens, It’s Christmas,’ the team decided it was time to try their hand at their first full-scale play.   ‘Our Day Out’ was a great choice as it entertained its audience with a mix of high comedy and thought provoking seriousness.
