Opportunities for Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) learning cut across all aspects of school life. They are present in lessons taught: at the beginning of every day as part of the 2 minutes silence which links to our weekly ‘Thought for the Week’; as an integral part of the Home Team Programme and during special events such as Sponsor’s Day, Charity events and educational visits.

SMSC helps us as a community at Bradford Academy to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the wider world. We learn about the beliefs, cultures, difficulties and needs of other people. This in turn helps everyone to develop greater consideration, care and empathy for the world around them.

The documents attached provides an overview of the definition of SMSC  opportunities we offer.
