Genocide:
Citizenship students in year 9 recently took part in a cross-curricula project examining Genocide. This project was run to support work being carried out by other schools in Bradford through the Community and Cohesion network. Students examined the concept of genocide and examples of genocide in the twentieth century during their citizenship lessons. This supported their study of the Holocaust in their History lessons and was all brought together in a Religious Studies lesson which commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day on January 26th.

Every Child Matters:
All students at the Academy had the opportunity through their Citizenship lessons to take part in an online survey which questioned each learner about issues surrounding their lifestyles in and outside school. This confidential data will then be collated and used to help the Academy to focus its curriculum on the students' actual needs.
