Pathways Information |
All learners in (Years 8-13) experience a Pathways Day, this focuses on their next steps as they begin to think about their curriculum choices for the next academic year and beyond.
The information, advice and guidance that students receive comes in a variety of formats and from a range of different people so that when it comes to filling in their options forms, or making choices about their Post-16 programme, they are able to make informed decisions that are appropriate to each individual.
All students will:
-
Attend an assembly which will explain the process and give guidance on filling in the options form (available below).
-
Work through a booklet asking questions about their attitudes, skills and achievement profile which will help them in having conversations with staff, parents/carers and their learning guide about the best options moving forward.
-
Experience lessons in subjects unfamiliar to them in the taster sessions on Pathways Day.
