Level 2 GCSE AQA Applied Science  РUnit 1 Science in the work place 1 hr exam  40%, Unit 2 How scientists use practical techniques 60% controlled assessment.

Term 1
Key Learning Objectives Know and understand the role of a food scientist. Know and understand the key scientific concepts a food scientist would use within their role.
Key Activities / Homework Learners will complete a range of activities which will include group work, exam questions and practical. Learners will complete an investigation into the acidity of fruit drinks.
Assessments Each half term all learners will complete a set of long answer six mark questions which will be directly linked to the key learning objectives for the term. Each half term learners will complete an end of progress checker to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses.
