Term 1
Key Learning Objectives Know and understand how to use scientific notation, units and mathematical principals.

Know and understand the standard model of physics and its applications.

Know and understand the principals of waves and their uses.

Know and understand how to apply physics to every day situations of forces, motion and energy.

Key Activities / Homework’s Learners will complete lessons which feature a large range of tasks such as exam questions, group work, presentations and practical techniques. In this section of the course learners will investigate standing waves, young’s slits and free fall practical endorsement.

Homework – all learners will be given a homework pack to be completed by the end of the topic.

Assessments After each topic learners will take an end of unit assessment which will identify their strengths and weaknesses in the topic.
