PSHEE

We have a  whole school approach to PSHEE whereby contextual days have a PSHEE focus. There is also some development in Humanities lessons, particularly RE.  For years 7 and 8 PSHEE is embedded through core.

Term 1
Key Learning Objectives How to assess and manage risks to health and to stay, and keep others, safe How to identify and access help, advice and support
Key Activities / Homework Learners will take part in a contextual day where they will complete a session with Step 2 about healthy relationships,   alongside a workshop about the Homophobic and transgender bullying

Term 2
Key Learning Objectives How to assess and manage risks to health and to stay, and keep others, safe How to identify and access help, advice and support                                                                   how personal financial choices can affect oneself                                                                           how to make informed choices about health and wellbeing matters including drugs, alcohol and tobacco; maintaining a balanced diet; physical activity; emotional health and wellbeing and sexual health
Key Activities / Homework During a contextual day, learners will take part in workshops. They will receive a talk about Homelessness with Bradford Nightstop. There will also be a workshop looking at Drugs and Alcohol and their role in contributing to homelessness
