Food & Nutrition

Year 7 Food Technology learners work on a termly rotation and are taught Food as part of their Core lessons for 1hr per week for approximately 14wks.


Term 1, 2 & 3

Key Learning Objectives To understand the principles of healthy eating;

Be able to identify the nutrients needed to stay healthy

To develop a range of preparation and cooking skills for life

Assessments Both written and practical work is assessed according to learner engagement and effort. Feedback may be verbal or written and will be given in accordance with whole school policy, as well as school generated levels based on the New National Curriculum
