PSHEE

We have a  whole school approach to PSHEE whereby contextual days have a PSHEE focus. There is also some development in Humanities lessons, particularly RE.  For years 7 and 8 PSHEE is embedded through core.

Term 1
Key Learning Objectives How to manage transition               To respect equality and be a productive member of a diverse community
Key Activities / Homework 1. Learners take part in camp and also have the opportunity to attend summer school.

2. All learners know their true colour so they can talk about personal qualities and attributes . They do the true colours survey. How to strengthen weakest colour

3. Rewrite lyrics of key songs and water aid charity fundraising. Learners to get pen pals in Africa

Term 2
Key Learning Objectives How to recognise and manage emotions within a range of relationships How to deal with risky or negative relationships including all forms of bullying (including the distinct challenges posed by online bullying) About the concept of consent in a variety of contexts
Key Activities / Homework Learners complete role plays about conflict so they can discuss how to deal with specific situations.
