PSHEE

We have a  whole school approach to PSHEE whereby contextual days have a PSHEE focus. There is also some development in Humanities lessons, particularly RE.  For years 7 and 8 PSHEE is embedded through core.

Term 1
Key Learning Objectives To respect equality and be a productive member of a diverse community

How to develop employability, team working and leadership skills and develop flexibility and resilience

Key Activities / Homework Discussing different faiths and understanding how people act on their faith. Discussing the ten commandments and how these link to how we should live today. Various opportunities to develop employability and team working skills and leadership. Opportunities given in class to develop these roles

Investigating how media impacts modern day society and role models

How to maintain physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing including sexual health*

How to be healthy over the summer. These sessions will be personalised to the needs of the learners
