Careers Review 2019 – 2020

During 2019/2020 we were able to undertake many careers related activities across all year group. Below you can see in more detail how many learners were involved and the type of activity they were involved in. Due to Covid-19, there were a number of activities that had already been planned to take part at the end of the spring term and beginning of the summer term which unfortunately were unable to go ahead. These included work experience for some Post 16 learners, two visits to Leeds Bradford Airport for Year 10 and Year 12 , and mock interviews with employers for Post 16 . This has meant that fewer numbers of learners have met some of the benchmarks than would have done in some of the Year groups. The collaboration with Bradford Manufacturing Weeks each year allow to engage learners in opportunties they otherwise would not get the chance, and it particular helps us with Benchmark 6. For 2020/2021 this will be held virtually but learners will still get the chance, although in a different way , to experience a work place and to hear from local employers and employees, something we are always keen to build on.
