I joined Bradford Academy as a middle leader in 2013 and was promoted to Assistant Principal Behaviour for Learning in July 2018. Previous to this, I had worked in several schools with challenging behavioural profiles and it was this experience that encouraged me to focus on the world of behaviour. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the finance industry providing advice and support for customers.
I am Assistant Principal Behaviour for Learning and Leader for Mathematics. My senior leadership role involves working alongside the behaviour team, embedding the behaviour policy and providing the strategic leadership of Behaviour for Learning. As Leader for Maths, I am accountable for the day to day running of the Maths Department, working closely with the Key Stage Leaders I ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of our learners.
My ambition for our students is that they are successful and content with whichever path they choose and that they leave Bradford Academy as decent and hardworking young adults.
