Tim Astin

Assistant Vice Principal

Following ten years in the housing profession and starting a family of three children, I went back to education and completed a Primary Education degree with Theology in 2010.  I was employed as a class teacher in a primary school on the outskirts of Bradford before coming to Bradford Academy in April 2015. I have progressed to my current role in my time here.

I am an Assistant Vice Principal in Primary, I lead the computing curriculum across the primary school and teach all children from year 1 up to year 6.  I manage and analyse children’s progression through their school career and ensure teachers are well informed of development.  I have also recently taken up the primary school lead in our new journey as a Church of England school, I am in regular contact with the Diocese of Leeds and look to develop the role Christianity and spirituality has with our setting.

My hope is that children are given the skills to develop into the best versions of themselves, that they grow to be positive influences in the lives of those around them and the wider world.
