Uniform / P.E. Kit
In order to maintain our high standards the Academy uniform as listed below must be worn at all times, including on journeys to and from the academy.

Primary Uniform (Nursery – Year 6)
- Green cardigan sweatshirt with Academy logo.
- Orange polo shirt with Academy logo.
- Academy pleated tartan skirt or Navy skirt or Navy pinafore or Navy trousers.
- Shalwar Kameez may be worn over the Academy uniform. the fabric must be plain Navy and approved by Academy staff.
- Plain black shoes. No high heels.
- Indoor PE Kit: Blue t-shirt, navy blue shorts, (pumps optional).
- Outdoor PE Kit: Plain navy blue or blue tracksuit, trainers, (rain jacket optional).
- Please note pumps and PE kit are not necessary for Nursery pupils.
Additional guidance on Primary Uniform expectations:
Learners may choose to wear one pair of small stud earrings. Learners are not allowed to wear rings at any time. Learners are not allowed to wear any other visible piercings apart from one pair of stud earrings (this includes facial and tongue piercings). Learners are not allowed to wear rings, necklaces or other jewellery. Large bows are not allowed and hair colour should be of a natural colouring, tied up if longer than shoulder length.
Girl’s Uniform (Years 7 – 11)
Learners are not allowed to wear any other forms of jewellery (bracelet, necklace or chain) other than a watch, one pair of stud earrings and a non–offensive gel band (except when permission is granted for recognised religious or medical reasons).
Outdoor coats are not allowed to be worn inside the building. Denim and leather jackets are not acceptable as outdoor clothing. Make-up is not permitted. Learners must not adopt any eccentric hairstyles or colour (Principal’s discretion). Learners should not wear head bows, flowers or adornments of any kind other than a plain head band. If children come to school wearing such adornments, they will be asked to remove them. In order to maintain our high standards, learners who do not wear the correct uniform will be sent home.

Boy’s Uniform (Years 7 – 11)

- White shirt – with Academy logo
- Tie (house colour) this will be provided to all new Y7 students & In-Year transfers in other year groups
- Green slipover (optional)
- Plain dark socks
- Plain Black Shoes only – see approved styles in the school catalogue
Post 16 Dress Code
The dress code is formal business dress.
For girls this includes:
- Shoes: Court shoes / flats (sensible shoes NOT trainers, sandals or plimsoll style footwear).
- Dark coloured or grey trousers (not jeans or tracksuits) or a work style skirt / dress / abaya, if you choose to wear a skirt or dress or abaya then black leggings can be worn instead of tights. Leggings cannot be worn without a skirt, dress or abaya.
- A smart formal top should be worn this includes items such as a blouse or a high neckline top. Long floaty tops are not considered formal and cannot be worn.
- Jumpers can be worn if they are knitwear – sports style tops cannot be worn as they are not considered formal.
For boys this includes:
- Shoes: Smart dress shoes (like the ones you would wear with a suit, NOT trainers or plimsoll style footwear).
- Dark coloured or grey, suit style trousers (not jeans or tracksuits). They need to be formal trousers not casual trousers.
- A shirt and tie needs to be worn, this is not a polo shirt but a shirt that you would be able to wear with a suit.
- Jumpers can be worn if they are knitwear – sports style tops cannot be worn as they are not considered formal.
When in the school building learners cannot wear:
- Anything that has a hood on
- A coat / jacket that has a zip on
- An overcoat
- Any other outdoor attire
Secondary Physical Education Uniform:
All piercings must be removed for PE and Performing Arts Dance lessons. This is to protect the learner and others in the lesson from harm. Please see the PE pages in your child’s planner for other expectations in PE lessons
Tops:
- Navy Blue round neck T-shirt
- Navy Blue Polo Shirt
- Navy Blue Sweatshirt
- Blue Long Sleeved Football Shirt
- Navy Sweatshirt & badge
- Students can wear a combination of these tops or just one of them, but a top with the Academy logo must be worn as the top layer of kit during PE lessons.
Bottoms/Socks
Students can wear either plain black or plain blue track suit bottoms
or
Plain blue or black shorts (with plain blue or black football socks)
Optional Extras
Students can optionally wear extra layers for their PE lessons especially when the weather is expected to be raining or cold. (For safety reasons we will not allow students to wear coats or tops with hoods. We will not allow
students to wear the coat they walk to and from school in, as these may get damaged during the lesson).

Other than a wrist watch no costume jewellery may be worn and take note that, a fancy deep sea diving watch or pilots watch is not acceptable, only simple utilitarian watches will be tolerated.
