Food Studies

Our Curriculum Intent Statement

A study of food and nutrition is essential in improving the health, happiness and well-being of our community by teaching learners and families ways to establish and maintain lifelong healthy and sustainable eating habits.

At Bradford Academy we have high expectations for food education and ensure effective access for all learners to learning, skills development and achievement in food,  modern Food Studies and Hospitality and Catering. All these courses reflect the changes in government guidelines for healthier eating and lead to  a variety of employment opportunities.

Staff at all levels across the Academy feel genuinely supported and feel grateful to work in a high-trust environment where they will readily take risks. This impacts on the quality of learning and teaching thus enhancing student learning experiences.
