Welcome to BRADFORD Academy
Secondary School

The Academy prides itself on its secondary curriculum offer, delivering engaging lessons which focus on securing eventual academic success. Learners experience a broad and balanced curriculum which fosters talent and prepares learners for their next steps.

The five year groups in the secondary phase are supported by a designated pastoral worker and Head of Year ensuring each learner receives the care and support needed to flourish.

A typical day in the Secondary phase involves accessing a free magic breakfast, accessing a range of enrichment activities before and after school, experiencing high quality focused lessons and the option to attend academic clinics at the end of the day.

Student voice is an essential part of the secondary phase and learners are provided with many opportunities to contribute to the future direction of the Academy. No voice is ignored and all learners are truly ‘Known, valued, understood and guided’.

Jenny Tierney, Secondary Principal

Staff at all levels across the Academy feel genuinely supported and feel grateful to work in a high-trust environment where they will readily take risks. This impacts on the quality of learning and teaching thus enhancing student learning experiences.
