Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively at Bradford Academy we ensure our approach is child-centred and that the best interests of the child are at the heart of decisions made and actions taken.

The Department for Education has issued an updated document entitled ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ which our relevant policies refer to and which we ensure that all members of staff read and understand as it outlines responsibilities. A copy of the guidance can be found below:

CEOP is a command of the National Crime Agency, and is dedicated to tackling the sexual abuse and exploitation of children and young people.
