Homework

There is an expectation that your child will read three times per week and practise any spellings and maths recall facts that get sent home by their teacher.

Your child also has an account with Sumdog.com and ttrockstars.com.  Both of these sites are useful for children to practise their maths skills.

Your children also has an account with Spelling League. This site speaks general words aloud, which need to be spelt correctly to gain points.

Another useful site that your child can access is Code.org. This is a fantastic website that takes children on a programming journey, starting with simple drag and drop activities right through to writing code using JavaScript, CCS and HTML.

Each child from year 1 to 6 has their own individual login which should have been sent home with your child or is in their planner.  Please speak to your child’s teacher should you require a replacement.

Staff are well trained and regularly monitor children’s progress to ensure that they are engaged in activities that develop their skills and help them grow in confidence. Staff provide many and varied opportunities for children to develop their speech through careful questioning and a range of interesting activities. Children are safe and happy and play well together.

From tomorrow, schools will be closed except for children of critical workers and the most vulnerable.

We must ensure NHS staff are able to access school places. Don’t take a place you don’t need.

Be responsible. Keep your kids at home.
