Design & Technology
Design & Technology teaches children that design is not just what it looks like but how it works. Children will develop their creative, technical and practical expertise needed to perform everyday tasks. This will help them to become capable citizens. They will develop knowledge, understanding and skills in order to design and make high quality prototypes for a wide range of users. Children will have the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions through expressing their likes and dislikes when evaluating their ideas. Children will learn about inventors, innovators and designers. They will understand and apply the principles of nutrition and learn how to cook. They will be guided to understand how high-quality design and technology education makes a contribution to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of the nation.
