Geography

At Bradford Academy, we encourage children to learn about the world around them. Geography is a subject that provides children with opportunities to gain a better understanding of our world’s people, places and environments, and the connections between them. Geography makes a major contribution to children’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional development. It allows children to develop a spatial awareness that deepens our understanding of what places are like. Our aim is to stimulate children’s curiosity about the possibilities of what the world has to offer through investigation and involvement. Children should leave Bradford Academy with a sense of their place in the world, both socially and physically, and a want to enquire into the world around them.
