Dawn Teague
Vice Chair of Governors (Foundation - Attendance) - Resource Management Committee
I am new to the governing body in 2024 but already have experience as a vice chair of governors in a primary school close to where I live in Calderdale. However, I am not new to Bradford Academy as I worked here as an exams invigilator for 12 years from when the new building first opened in 2005. I am, therefore, delighted to be “coming home” to this wonderful school and look forward to being a part of its future growth and development.
My professional background is in financial services and, for the past 15 years, working with those in the finance, banking and insurance industries and who are studying for their professional exams. Through this I have sat on several boards and panels, helping to create training and qualifications suitable for the modern and more inclusive world.
Outside of work, I am a magistrate sitting on the West Yorkshire bench and enjoy the simple pleasures of family life, time with friends, gardening and walking.
